What are the Center hours and is there a fee?
The 1000 Islands Environmental Center building is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The trails are open daily until 11:00 p.m. There is not a fee to enter the building or walk the trails, but donations are always welcome.
Do you rent out the building for meetings or parties?
Yes, we allow the building to be rented out for various events such as company/organization meetings, holiday parties, family reunions, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers. We can accommodate up to 150 people. For more information and availability, please call the Center at 920-766-4733.
Are dogs allowed on the trails?
No pets are allowed on the trails. Only service dogs on a leash are allowed.
Is your building and trails handicap accessible?
Yes, the Center’s building is fully accessible and we do have a portion of the trail system that is a boardwalk and accessible.
Can I ride my bike on the trails?
Bikes and other pedal-powered vehicles are not permitted on the trails. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
Is smoking permitted in the Conservancy Zone?
Per the Center’s Policy 2.030, there is no smoking, vaping or other tobacco use within the Center building, grounds and trails of the Conservancy Zone.
Do you take in injured and orphaned wildlife?
