Notice of Public Hearing – Tuesday, July 20, 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be conducted by the Common Council of the City of Kaukauna on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the meeting of the Common Council to consider the repeal and recreation of Municipal Ordinance Ch. 9, Sec. 15 (6) Prohibited Areas for Animals. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to accept public comments on the proposed amendment.

The repeal and recreation of this section of Municipal Code would allow off-leash dogs at the Kaukauna Dog Park and allow leashed dogs in select City of Kaukauna Parks including: Central Park, Fassbender Park, Kelso Park, Konkapot Preserve, Nature View Park, Quarry Point Park, Rapid Croche Park, Thilwerth Park, Van Eperen Park, and on the following trails: Fox Heritage Trail, Konkapot Trail, Nelson Family Heritage Crossing Trail, and Travis Dercks Memorial Trail.

Beginning on Friday, June 18, 2021, materials (including the full proposed ordinance language) will be available for public inspection on the City of Kaukauna Planning and Community Development webpage located here: http://www.cityofkaukauna.com/public-inspection. These materials may also be requested to be mailed to parties by contacting Allyson Brunette ([email protected], 920.766.6315).

Persons wishing to submit comments with regard to the ordinance repeal and recreation are encouraged to attend the meeting. Persons unable to attend the public hearing but who wish to comment may do so by contacting the City of Kaukauna Planning Department by mail at P.O.
