To promote and educate the community about the critical period of pollinator emergence, the month of May 2021 has been designated as No Mow May in the City of Kaukauna. The goal of No Mow May is to provide early season forage for bees and emerging native pollinators by reducing our mowing intensity during a month where foraging resources are limited. For the duration of the month of May, the City of Kaukauna shall suspend the enforcement of Chapter 10.03(6) Noxious Weeds until June 2021. Citations will not be issued for excessive weed growth during the month of May.
No Mow May is entirely voluntary. If you are interested in taking part in No Mow May, please follow this link to register your property. Yard signs are available at 1000 Islands.
With questions, please call the Mayor’s office at 920.766.6310.
