For the first time in its 32-year history, Kaukauna’s Electric City Christmas parade has been cancelled. The beloved, annual community tradition is just one of many great programs to fall victim to COVID-19 cancellations.
From the beginning of the pandemic, our focus and priority has been on the health and safety of our employees and residents of the City of Kaukauna. Mayor, Tony Penterman has called upon everyone in the community to do their part to help stop the spread of the COVID-19. Due to the widespread increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in our area and Health Department guidelines which limit outdoor gatherings to 10 people or fewer, the City has decided to cancel this year’s event. The event, originally scheduled for December 1, 2020, will return on December 7, 2021.
City staff is exploring options for an alternate event.
