Outagamie County Issues Safer at Home Order

Posted on May 14, 2020 by

Last night (05/13/20) the WI State Supreme Court struck down Governor Evers’ Safer at Home Order. However, late this morning (05/14/20), Outagamie County Public Health Division issued a local Safer at Home Order, which mirrors the State’s former Orders (Safer At Home, Badger Bounce Back, and Turn the Dial), effective at 8:00am on May 14, 2020. The City of Kaukauna is required to follow authority of the county and enforce the Safer at Home Order. The full Order can be found here. And the press release from Outagamie County can be found here.

We recognize that residents and businesses are anxious to move beyond these restrictions, however, we are mandated by law to follow the order of the Outagamie County Public Health Officer.

As stated in the press release from Outagamie Public Health Division, this Order has been established to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Please continue to follow CDC and DHS guidelines for staying healthy and preventing the spread of the virus.

For more information on the regional COVID-19 testing site, please visit the county website.

City buildings will remain closed, but, as stated before, most city services will continue as normal. Please stay tuned to our social media and website for updates along the way.
