National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Posted on Jan 9, 2020 by

Mayor Penterman officially declares January 9th, 2020 as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D) in the City of Kaukauna, WI. Thank you Kaukauna Police Department for putting your lives on the line every day to keep our community safe! We appreciate each and every one of you!

A message from Mayor Penterman:

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a day created to thank officers and honor the more than 900,000 law enforcement officers in America. On this day, we show our support for our nation’s police officers who put a badge on each day, knowing they may face extremely dangerous situations while carrying out their duties. This day is a way to show our men and women in blue how much we value them.

On behalf of myself, the Council, and the staff at the City of Kaukauna, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our officers who sacrifice so much and get very little appreciation the rest of the year. We recognize and thank all of you and all of our nation’s officers who protect and serve their communities to keep America safe day after day.

Thank you!
Mayor Anthony J. Penterman
