Mayor’s Christmas Message

Posted on Dec 20, 2016 by

Season’s Greetings!

2016 has been an extremely busy year, and we have celebrated some very exciting things in our community—none more exciting for me than the enhancements that were made to our Downtown District.

Since its move after the 2016 New Year, the community has happily embraced our new Library in its new location.   Improvements to our Hydro Park and the completion and long-awaited move into our beautiful, new Municipal Services Building and Police Department were definitely highlights as well.   We watched what we thought could only have been a dream become a reality!  By combining the talents of our staff with our diverse backgrounds, skills, and styles, we saw first-hand that together, we can achieve great things!  And there is still more excitement on the horizon!  With the next phase of our building project already in the works, I know you will join us as we look forward to the Municipal Fire Station’s completion late next fall.

This holiday season, let us all reach out a little further to those around us. Let us look for those who might need that extra helping hand. Let us thank the Veterans and the volunteers for their service, the elderly for their examples, the young children for their hope and optimism, and friends for just being friends.

On a personal note, I am thankful to our City staff and elected officials, all of whom are committed to working together with the community to make a positive and lasting contribution to our great City. I am so fortunate to serve with such dedicated men and women. They truly care about our community.

On behalf of the City of Kaukauna, I extend our warmest regards and best wishes to everyone in our City.  May the spirit of this wonderful season be with you and your loved ones throughout the holidays and many blessings in the New Year.

Mayor Gene Rosin
